Teec Nos Pos Weaving. 130" x 68". A superb use of handspun wool in natural and primary colors. The intricately interconnected design is arranged in a "storm pattern" layout. The design consists of the center square with the tradtional four lightning bolts extending to the sacred mountains in each corner of the rug. Supplemental designs represent both water bugs and lightning. The well-drawn design is enclosed by a border consisting of eagle feathers. 19th century.
